Shenzhen CPS Unmanned System Research Institute (abbreviated as: USYS Research) was established on August 5, 2015, and is a private non-enterprise unit approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. It has established long-term strategic cooperative relations with many well-known industry associations and organizations such as the Shenzhen Intelligent Transportation Industry Association, the Shenzhen Security Industry Association, the Shenzhen UAV Industry Association, the Shenzhen Smart City Industry Association, the Guangdong Intelligent Connected Vehicle and Intelligent Transportation Application Professional Committee, the Shenzhen Tiandi Intelligent Transportation Research Institute and the Shenzhen Qiankun Public Safety Research Institute, as well as industrial park operators and community service providers. USYS Research is committed to the technological integration and innovative application of intelligent connected unmanned systems, and, with a win-win mindset and a pragmatic service attitude and style, actively advances the commercial implementation and operation services of intelligent connected unmanned systems mainly based on unmanned vehicles. Yang Jincai, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and president of the Shenzhen UAV Association, serves as honorary president, and Dr. Yang Peng, member of the Shenzhen CPPCC and executive vice president of the Shenzhen Intelligent Transportation Industry Association, serves as president. USYS Research, upholding the service vision and positioning of 'rooted in Shenzhen, relying on the development advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and carrying out exchanges and cooperation in the global unmanned systems field', is committed to the technological integration and innovative application of unmanned systems, and strives to unite research institutes, institutions of higher learning, well-known technology enterprises and service agencies to jointly carry out think tank construction and project services, industrial cluster construction and high-end industry docking, industry-university-research cooperation and industry report compilation for the land-sea-air-space large unmanned systems industry. USYS Research has jointly compiled and released, together with the Shenzhen Intelligent Transportation Industry Association and various unmanned vehicle enterprises, China's first group standard, the 'Safety Management Specification for Urban Commercial Operation of Low-Speed Unmanned Vehicles', and on this basis has continuously advanced the social public safety product certification and special operation insurance for low-speed unmanned vehicles. In 2022, USYS Research continued to organize the compilation and advancement of group standards such as the 'Safety Management Specification for Operation of Unmanned Slow-Speed Shuttle Vehicles in Scenic Areas, Parks, Blocks and Communities'. USYS Research will, with the help of the resource aggregation advantages and industry visibility of various ecological cooperation industry associations, promote expert aggregation and multi-field cross-border cooperation for unmanned systems in areas such as smart cities, intelligent transportation, emergency safety and artificial intelligence, and domestic and overseas scientific and technological cooperation, and take carrying out autonomous driving and unmanned vehicle industry cultivation and application cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and eligible domestic cities as its main direction; during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it will focus on advancing and accelerating the large-scale commercial application of unmanned systems including low-speed unmanned vehicles and the corresponding supporting urban intelligent transportation infrastructure construction process.
