Shenyang Innovation Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. was founded in 2009 based on Shenyang University of Technology. Deeply engaged in equipment manufacturing industrial design for 17 years, it is among the first batch of national-level industrial design centers and the only national industrial design research institute cultivation unit in the country for the heavy machinery direction. Its business covers ergonomics, industrial design, digital twins, virtual simulation, spatial design and brand planning. It holds 213 intellectual property rights and has overcome multiple key industry technologies. It has built an integrated online-offline service system covering Liaoning and radiating across the country, having served more than a thousand enterprises and completed more than three thousand projects, creating industrial value-added of over RMB 30 billion. In 2025 it helped small and medium-sized enterprises in the province greatly reduce costs and increase efficiency, firmly holding its leading position in Northeast China's industrial design, empowering smart manufacturing upgrading with design innovation and supporting the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning.
